Prepare yourself because there’s nothing quite like Mumbai with its energy, pulse and personality unmatched by any other city on the sub-continent. It’s home to the Bollywood elite, the sprawling Dharavi slum, the world’s most expensive home, lunch-delivering dhabbawallas and some of the best street food in India.

That’s where our guides Shailesh and Sagar come in. These Mumbaites where born and raised in this city and what they don’t know about the food here ain’t worth knowing. Using the city’s public transport, you'll visit the best places to eat in Mumbai. Hop from stop to stop mopping up delectable curries with crispy papads, hitting up one of the few remaining Persian bakeries, digging into chaat snacks on Chowpatty and delving into the Muslim quarter to eat lip-smackingly good kebabs along the way. You’ll wander through old markets, ride the famous Mumbai train network and eat ice cream that’s been churned the same way since it opened in the 19th century, all while being entertained with stories of old Bombay. Just get your taste buds ready for the ride.

*Oh, hi there veggies, this one's definitely for you. We can happily swap out the meat to suit your palette, after all... this is India.

**Street food vendors take time off too, so we can’t promise every tour will be the same, but fear not, the day will always be packed with good stuff.
